Magi'i of Cyador
L.E. Modesitt Jr.

Death Message

Death Message - Mark Billingham Nice to see Thorne growing as a character... some resolution of a few old storylines as well. Will be I teresting to see where the next book takes it.

The Color of Magic

The Color of Magic - Terry Pratchett Not my favourite of these. The writing and stories definitely get better. Would recommend starting the series after the light fantastic and skipping these 1st 2.

The Silver Pigs

The Silver Pigs - Lindsey Davis Well that didn't take long!
Enjoy the different setting for a mystery. Bought the characters to life well.

Terrier - Tamora Pierce Enjoyed the diary format and seeing the Tortall world a few hundred years before the other series.

Water for Elephants

Water for Elephants - Sara Gruen I loved this! Got it free as a world book night gift from my mother-in-law to be. Was completely ingrossing and the ending made me smile lots. Well worth a read.

Think my favourite part were with 90year old Jacob. Really resonanted with the people I've worked with in care homes and the hospitals.

Reluctant Assassin 1 (Warp)

Reluctant Assassin 1 (Warp) - Eoin Colfer It was ok. Time travel through worm holes. Author managed to undo a potential paradox in the end.

The Rogue

The Rogue - Trudi Canavan Bit meh about this. Started off slowly, but picked up towards the end.

Night Shadow

Night Shadow - Nora Roberts Enjoyed this apart from the weirdness

Nightshade - Nora Roberts Another good read by Nora Roberts

Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality

Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality - Eliezer Yudkowsky Well that was different... enjoyable in parts, convoluted in others.

Blue Remembered Earth

Blue Remembered Earth - Alastair Reynolds 1st sci-fi in a long time. Enjoyed the search round the solar system and trying to figure out Eunice's plans

The Black Echo

The Black Echo - Michael Connelly Interesting twists within this one. Was enjoyable.

Shadowsinger - L.E. Modesitt Jr. This series has been ok, but not my favourite of his.

Buried - Mark Billingham Enjoyed this and seeing the threads of the story coming together. Didn't work out one of the major twists so happy with that!

The Well of Lost Plots

The Well of Lost Plots - Jasper Fforde I didn't like this as much as previous installments. Some v clever ideas and plots. Would have liked to see more in 'Outland'

The Lost Duke of Wyndham

The Lost Duke of Wyndham - Julia Quinn This felt like half a book, even having read Mr Cavendish I presume first. It was an interesting idea for a series, but it hasn't worked in my opinion
